Do you have a project due concerning World War II? To impress your professor, think about including WWII Newsmaps into your references or presentation. Newsmaps are large color posters that were released on Mondays during the war. As the name implies, these items fused a map of the world and the news from the previous week’s war effort. The Government and Information and Kent Cooper Services Department has compiled a research guide of the newsmaps held in our collection. Additionally, the University of North Texas has digitized a wide array of the U.S. Army Newsmaps, which can be accessed by clicking here. If you have any questions about this resource, please feel free to get in touch with our department.
