Faculty of 1000 New SmartSearch Feature

The Faculty of 1000 (F1000) literature search tool has added a new option to help you with your research. After providing  the PubMed article ID number (labeled PMID in PubMed records) for a few articles that represent your interests, F1000 will offer articles that seem related. You can mark these results offered as relevant or not and after a few interactions, the tool will learn which items you prefer. You can sign up to receive email updates with new relevant articles every 1, 2 or 3 weeks.

To start using SmartSearch, go the F1000 website through IU Libraries. Set up an account (don’t worry; it’s free!) and log in. Go to MyF1000 on the right side of the screen and find F1000 SmartSeach in the menu on the left under MySearches.
